Q: How long will it take to receive my order?

A: For orders with a delivery address within the U.S. the delivery time is approximately 4-8 days after order is placed. For orders with a delivery address outside of the U.S., we ship within 5 days, while the delivery time frame will vary according to the destination country's mail service. Insurance is optional if you contact us to arrange for it.


Q: Do you ship internationally?

A: We are happy to ship to our international customers, and currently this is done by contacting us at Jill@GypsyMonkey.com to arrange the details. Due to the complexity of shipping calculations, the shipping of international orders is not possible through our shopping cart system. Simply email us with your desired items and we will get back to you about their availability and the next steps you'll need to take to complete your order.


Q: Do you sell your clothing as matching outfits?

A: Our clothing makes great outfits, but the pieces are not always necessarily "matching" in the traditional sense. We encourage mixing and matching of different designs, and provide suggestions for fun combinations on our product pages.
Please keep in mind that our batiked colors can vary from batch to batch, and we match your items of the same design and color to one another as closely as our stock allows. Once ordered, returns based on variations in color are subject to our normal return policy.


Q: What are the care instructions for washing my garment?

A: We recommend washing with cold water in a washing machine and hanging dry. Note: After garments are washed they will appear to be much longer than usual, do not panic, once they are dry they will resume their exact original size and shape. All of our cotton/lycra garments are pre-washed and fixed to assure that there will be no shrinkage or color bleeding in the washing process. Because of the fabric’s resiliency, occaisional trips through the dryer will not drastically alter these garments, but might result in some shrinkage and decreased elasticity over time. If your garment makes an accidental trip through the dryer, you can hand stretch it while wet to return it to its’ original size.


Q: Can I return or exchange my order?

A: We are happy to accept returns and exchanges within the framework of our policies. Please refer to the Polices page on this site for the details you'll need.


Q: Can I make a custom order for a particular size or design that is not currently available?

A: At the present moment we are only taking custom orders for the women's pants, which are made locally to order. For anything else, what you see on the site is what is currently available. You can email Jill@gypsymonkey.com and request to be notified as soon as new stock is available.


Q: How do I determine my size?

A: Please refer to our sizing charts. The inseam measurement is the distance from the crotch to the bottom of pants along the inside leg seam. Waist is the distance around the low-rise waistband. Keep in mind that the cotton/lycra is a 4 way stretch fabric that allows for a range in the sizing, and the length of the women's pants is adjustable.


Q: How can one try on Gypsy Monkey clothing in person?

A: We mostly sell our garments directly from our website or at select events. Please refer to our blog for the schedule to see where we will be presenting our merchandise next, or visit our "Credits and Acknowledgments" page to see which retail locations might currently have some of our items for sale. We do not accept drop in visits at our business address.


Q: Do you ever have sales?

A: We would be happy to notify you of any of our online sales if you contact us and request to be added to an email list. Occasionally we sell discontinued or irregular items on Etsy, www.gypsymonkey.etsy.com
